Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services offered by Saranghae Korean Classes, an online-only institution. By enrolling in any course, the Student and/or Guardian agrees to these terms.

  1. Definitions
  • Saranghae Korean Classes: Saranghae Korean Classes, including its designated employees, teachers, and representatives.
  • Student: Any individual who signs up for a course with Saranghae Korean Classes.
  • Guardian: A legal guardian, parent, or adult representative who enrolls on behalf of a minor (under 18 years of age).
  1. Mode of Instruction
  • Saranghae Korean Classes provides online-only instruction via platforms such as Google Meet, Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams, or Skype.
  • There are currently no in-person or contact classes.
  1. Eligibility & Enrollment
  • By submitting the registration form, the Student (or Guardian) confirms they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
  • Students must be 18 years or older to register independently. Proof of identity needs to be submitted.
  • For minors, the Guardian assumes full responsibility for compliance with these Terms.
  1. Course Access and Use
  • Access to live classes, course content, and login credentials is granted exclusively to the enrolled student.
  • Taking Screenshots or recording live classes is strictly prohibited.
  • Sharing, reproducing, or distributing course content in any form without Saranghae Korean Classes’s permission is strictly prohibited.
  • Attempting to establish a personal or commercial relationship with an Saranghae Korean Classes teacher outside the platform will result in immediate termination without refund.
  1. Fees and Payment Policy
  • All course fees must be paid in advance by the due date to confirm enrolment.
  • Any international bank charges, taxes, or deductions will be borne by the student and must be adjusted in the next payment cycle.
  • Course fees must include all applicable Indian taxes; any new statutory levies will apply to future payments within the course.
  • Non-payment may result in suspension or expulsion from classes.
  1. Placement, Curriculum, and Induction
  • Students must attend a mandatory induction session after enrollment.
  • Level placement is decided by Saranghae Korean Classes through a written test and/or interview. The decision is final.
  • Saranghae Korean Classes reserves the right to change or maintain student levels based on assessments.
  • The course curriculum is designed by Saranghae Korean Classes based on student proficiency. Customization requests will not be accepted.
  • Feedback is collected after demo sessions but does not guarantee curriculum modifications during the course.
  1. Teacher Allocation

 

  • Saranghae Korean Classes employs teachers from diverse nationalities and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Saranghae Korean Classes reserves the right to assign or reassign teachers based on availability etc.
  • Any student-teacher concerns must be raised in writing immediately, and Saranghae Korean Classes’s decision will be final.
  1. Attendance & Missed Classes
  • Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes.
  • If a class is missed due to student absence, no refund or make-up is guaranteed.
  • A student may request consideration for a repeat session, but it is subject to teacher and school availability.
  • If Saranghae Korean Classes cancels a session (excluding force majeure), a make-up class or equivalent session will be provided.
  1. Refund and Cancellation Policy
  • Refunds will only be considered under the following exceptional circumstances and must be submitted in writing to: annyeong@saranghakorean.com
  • Acceptable refund reasons:
  • Sudden illness or accident (with a valid medical certificate)
  • Death or prolonged illness of an immediate family member (with documentation)
  • Job relocation of student or spouse/parent (with proof)
  • Refund terms:
  • Course fee once paid are non-refundable.
  • Pro-rata refunds or discounts may apply only if Saranghae Korean Classes cancels future sessions and cannot offer alternatives.
  1. Technical Requirements
  • Students must have:
  • Stable internet connection
  • Functional device (Mobile may be used however, PC/laptop/tablet are preferred.)
  • Webcam and microphone/headset
  • Saranghae Korean Classes is not responsible for disruptions due to technical or internet issues on the student’s end.
  • No compensations are provided for missed classes due to tech failure at the student’s end.
  1. Certification
  • A digital e-certificate is awarded upon:
  • 80% attendance
  • Teacher clearance confirming successful course completion
  • Certificates must be claimed within one month of course completion.
  • Saranghae Korean Classes certificates do not carry legal or immigration validity and must not be misrepresented for visa or regulatory purposes.
  1. Code of Conduct
  • Respectful conduct is expected toward staff, teachers, and fellow students.
  • Saranghae Korean Classes reserves the right to expel any student without refund for:
  • Disruption or harassment
  • Inappropriate behavior
  • Misuse of Saranghae Korean Classes materials or digital property
  • Attempts to bypass Saranghae Korean Classes and contact teachers directly are strictly prohibited.
  1. Intellectual Property
  • All course content (videos, PDFs, tests, recordings) is the intellectual property of Saranghae Korean Classes.
  • Live class recording, taking screenshots or, any unauthorized reproduction, sharing, or use of materials will result in legal action and/or expulsion.
  1. Force Majeure Clause
  • Saranghae Korean Classes will not be held responsible for failure to deliver services due to events beyond its control, including but not limited to:
  • Natural disasters (earthquake, flood, etc.)
  • Pandemics, epidemics, lockdowns
  • Internet blackouts or service interruptions
  • Political disturbances (strikes, bandhs, etc.)
  • Government restrictions or emergency acts
  1. Modifications to Terms
  • Saranghae Korean Classes reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time.
  • Continued use of services after updates implies acceptance of the modified Terms.
